Removing Honey Bees in your area

We do remove bees in Greenside and Emmarentia

Greenside is one of the more established suburbs of Johannesburg, neighbouring on Emmarentia, the two are so close people often mistake the suburbs for each other.bees in a pool pump housing

The homes in the area date as far back as the late 1800's and the first home built in the area, still stands today as a National Monument.

Greenside and Emmarentia are home to large, flourishing gardens, sports fields and public parks all abloom for most of the year with seasonal flowers.

Bees being somewhat migratory of nature have found this lush suburb ideal as a place to settle the colony and build a hive. The places the bees choose to build the hives can cause inconvenience and even danger to the people in the vicinity of the hive.

The age of the houses in Greenside would mean that the often have airbrick without filters to keep insects out. The gaps in the airbricks are the perfect entryway to the walls and a resulting hive.

Emmarentia is also full of family homes which inevitably means pets and swimming pools. Dog kennels and poolpump housings make the ideal spot for a hive.

The Bee Team is located nearby and would prefer that you gave us a call to remove the bees rather than try to remove them yourself and run the risk of getting hurt or that others may be attacked if you anger the swarm.

We also remove bees in Sandton and Northcliff

Johannesburg carries the title of 'Worlds largest man made forest' with good reason. The number of trees planted by home owners is probably in the millions and the city council had planted the streets with a large number of flowering trees.

In Johannesburg's suburbs, particularly towards the north, the homes have decidedly large gardens which are carefully tended and arranged in such a way that they have a floral display throughout the year. These lush gardens will inevitably draw all manner of wildlife from birds to insects, including bees.

Gardens in areas like Sandton and Northcliff are established and hide within them quite an intricate ecosytem of which bees would swarm of bees in a bushundoubtedly be a part. All of this natural activity serves to keep the garden fertile and lush.

However, should the bees decide that visiting your lovely Sandton garden is not enough and proceed to move in you may find yourself less willing to spend time in your garden for fear of being stung.

Swarming bees can come to rest in trees or bushes while they scout around for a suitable nesting place or if the scouts have already been to your garden they could immediately start to build a new hive.

Hollow logs or pipes, holes in trees and rockeries, even a pool pump housing or dog kennel would suit them fine. As long as it's quiet, and near food and water.

We are as concerned for your well being as we are for the well being of the bees which is why we remove them quickly and efficiently, with as little disruption as possible to you. We do not exterminate the bees, we relocate them to a more suitable environment. Leaving your garden free for you to enjoy once again.
